Dogged determination, a passion for adventure and an unflinching approach to innovation are valued qualities for most winemakers, but not all of them push things as far as Henry van Asch. Henry is an innovator and a pioneer, he is also co-founder of AJ Hackett Bungy. In 1993 Henry developed his love of wines and began planting grapes in Gibbston.
This medium bodied Pinot Noir has lovely earthy undertones, dried herb aromatics and racy berry fruit freshness underpinned with a silky delicate tannin profile.

A bold floral bouquet with smoked oak aromas. Smooth and delicious, bursting with dark cherry and hints of licorice. The sweet tannins and subtle oak influences combine to make it sensuous on the palate.
14% Alc/Vol
A wonderful nose of Cassis, red and black cherries with hints of violets. The palate is oily with cocoa nibs, mineral and crunchy, with a fine tannin grip to the finish. This wine will continue to develop in the bottle. The van Asch Pyro Syrah is our very own ‘Home Grown Rhone’.
14% Alc/Vol
The wine is a blush colour with lovely delicate bead. Rich aromas of brioche and rose florals. Delicate yet savoury on the palate. Great body, with tangerine blossom, grapefruit pith and a rich yet crisp finish.
